Wow. Seems like I haven't been on DA in forever. Of course, with the heat wave we've had I really haven't done much photography this summer. Hopefully that will change now that the heat has broken. Now if we could only get some rain - everything's just a bit too brown right now. Lately, I've been noticing a lot of concerts are allowing cameras with the caveat "no professional cameras" and the fine print usually says "professional cameras are defined as cameras with detachable lenses." Well, I shot my first concert in over ten years last night. The Dresden Dolls had an all-cameras allowed policy so I decided "Why not?" I'm not necessarily a big fan, but I do like their stuff and tickets were only $20. It was odd having a camera and not being in the photo pit in front of the stage. And it's nice not having to decide what film speed to use (Do I use high speed film and get lots of grain or a middle-speed film for more clarity and hope that the stage lighting is adequate). All in all, it was fun and brought back memories of why I liked doing it in the first place, with very little of the negatives that soured me on the exper
